A New Rope Nursery

The past two weeks we have been busy planning, building and installing our new rope nursery into Atoll Marine Centre’s coral garden site!

The new structure measures 1.5m by 10m and, at full capacity, could hold 1,500 coral fragments which will later be out-planted to restore the degraded parts of our surrounding reefs.

Our Coral Restoration Volunteers, Sophie and Alex, have officially attached the first fragments and we are excited to see how they grow.
