August Dive Against Debris Counts

August was another great month of clean up dives with our partners and volunteers!

Not only did we reach a landmark of 1,000kg removed since our mission started on November 22nd 2024, but we then removed another 100kg of trash that does not belong in the ocean.

We conducted 6 Dive Against Debris events this month, 4 at our deeper coral strip, on August 1st where we removed 23.6kg of trash, August 4th where we removed 52.6kg, August 22nd where we removed 17.9kg and August 31st where we removed an additional 21.4kg. For our other 1 events we returned to the coral patch which started this mission, removing 18.9kg of debris on August 16th and 12.4kg on August 20th.

The total trash we removed from our ocean in August was 146.8kg making our total for the 36 events we have ran so far 1,100.5kg from 13,652 pieces of trash.
