Ghost Net Beach Clean

We started our morning with a slightly different beach clean, removing a washed up ghost net with this amazing team from Atoll Volunteers.

This was no easy task but the dedicated team worked hard, pulling out and cutting nets, to ensure there were no pieces left that could be swept back into the ocean.

These abandoned nets drift through the ocean, trapping marine life before eventually washing up on beaches, where they can still entangle wildlife.

By clearing them away, we’re helping to keep our beaches safe and our oceans cleaner. Every small effort adds up! Well done everyone!
