Pilot Whales in Lhaviyani

This week we has the most incredible surprise on our way to our first dive site. After spotting a pod of bottlenose dolphins passing Felivaru we spotted this incredible pilot Whale on the horizon. The Pilot Whale stayed on the surface while we slowly got closer before diving down.

Among the largest of the oceanic dolphins, Pilot whales are usually spotted in the North of Lhaviyani Atoll and are always a treat to see!
