February Megafauna Counts

Every day we record the megafauna we see, while diving, snorkelling, from a boat or from shore. Information we share with Atoll Marine Centre and Manta Trust and that is used to track abundance and numbers of each species.

Our February sightings include; 66 Green Turtles, 9 Hawksbills, 5 Black Tip Reef Sharks & 25 Juvenile Black Tip Reef Sharks, 33 Grey Reef Sharks, 2 Nurse Sharks, 1 White Tip Reef Shark, 11 Bottlenose Dolphins, 26 Spinner Dolphins, 4 Blotched Fantail Rays, 12 Cowtail Rays, 3 Porcupine Rays, 1 Whiptail Ray, 4 Manta Rays, 25 Spotted Eagle Rays and, our personal highlight, 1 Ornate Eagle Ray which was spotted on our house reef!
