Manta season is here!

Manta Ray season has officially started in Lhaviyani Atoll! During the South West Monsoon these magical rays migrate to Lhaviyani for feeding and the many cleaning stations on our reefs.

Currently in Fushivaru in the north of Lhaviyani and only a 25 minute boat ride for us, Manta Rays typically move even closer to Naifaru later in the season with aggressions of them frequenting the channels and lagoons near Kanifushi.

Some fun facts from Manta Trust: over 430 manta rays have been identified in Lhaviyani Atoll, 52% are adults and 48% are juveniles.
