Our New Dive Against Debris Mission

We have actively been doing clean up dives at Aqua Dive since the start, but we recently ventured out to a rarely-visited coral block on our house reef and were shocked by what we found.

So, this week we teamed up with Atoll Marine Centre and Atoll Volunteers for a clean-up dive, removing 19.5kg of plastic and other debris from the reef before sorting, recording and submitting the data to PADI AWARE. 

Unfortunately we only made a small dent in the piles of trash, so we have made it our mission to clean up this section of the reef, along with any other rubbish we find.
